UNICEF at UIUC - Empowering Change
UNICEF at UIUC, also known as Involved@Illinois, is a student-led organization that aims to empower change and advocate for children's rights both locally and globally. We believe that every individual possesses the power to make a difference, and we strive to create a platform for students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to engage with UNICEF's mission.
Our Impact
Through a variety of initiatives, UNICEF at UIUC actively supports and promotes awareness about children's rights and issues related to child welfare. Our collective efforts are driven by the belief that together, we can create a better world for children everywhere. Some of our key areas of focus include:
Education and Access to Schools
We firmly believe that education is a fundamental right of every child. UNICEF at UIUC works towards improving access to quality education, promoting inclusive learning environments, and advocating for policies that ensure equal opportunities for all children.
Healthcare and Nutrition
Good health and proper nutrition are essential for a child's development. Through fundraisers, awareness campaigns, and partnerships, UNICEF at UIUC strives to support programs that provide access to essential healthcare services, immunizations, and nutritious meals.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)
Access to clean water, proper sanitation, and hygiene practices are crucial in preventing diseases and promoting overall well-being. UNICEF at UIUC actively participates in initiatives aimed at improving WASH facilities in underserved communities around the world.
Child Protection and Advocacy
UNICEF at UIUC is deeply committed to advocating for children's rights and protecting them from violence, exploitation, and abuse.
